TESTING RESULTS ABOUT WATER TREATMENT EFFECT IN AQUACULTURE FIELD OF SOME BIOLOGICAL PRODUCTS: GEM, GEM-P, CTA-T, CTA-8T
(Based on testing report of Experimental Biology Department _ Aquaculture Research Institute II)
Aquaculture Research Institute II has performed the test about some products such as: GEM, GEM-P, CTA-T, CTA-8T supplied by Consulting Center For Biology & Environment CTA. The results are reported as following:

Study object: Green crayfish
Breeding tank: 09 Composite tanks, 06 cement tanks 2.5m3 and 12 canvas pockets 1 m3.
Density: 20 crayfish/tank
Size: 80-100 crayfish/kg
Testing concentration:
Testing time: test before each stage and after using for 7 days periodically.
Some water-physiochemical quotas (NH4+/NH3, NO2, pH, COD, alkaline level, DO)
Utilized concentration is 2 ppm, 4 ppm of CTA – T, CTA – 8T, GEM, and 0.03 ppm; 0.05 ppm of GEM – P on composite and cement tanks before each stage and after 7 day- treatment. We have tested periodically water-physiochemical quotas at experimental plots and control-plots. Some quotas pH, alkaline level, DO are stable with testing time.
During experiment, we tested, evaluated and determined some elements NH4+/NH3, NO2 and COD with the concentration of CTA – T, CTA – 8T is 2 ppm, 4 ppm; GEM is 0.03 ppm and GEM-P is 0.05 ppm compared with control plots.

According to above results, we showed that at the concentration of CTA – T, CTA – 8T, GEM is 2 ppm; GEM-P is 0.03 ppm, it isn’t significantly different (P>0.05) between environmental elements compared with control-plot.
At the experimental plots with concentration of CTA – T, CTA – 8T, GEM is 4 ppm and GEM-P 0.05 ppm and the same initial conditions, it is significantly different (P<0.05) between environmental elements and suitable with breeding conditions, lower than control-plots.
CTA – T, CTA – 8T, GEM are used with concentration of 4 ppm and GEM –P 0.05 ppm in crayfish culture medium have ability of accumulation, organic mud decomposition, toxicant reduction, environmental stability (NH4+/NH3, NO2 and COD are reduced).
According to testing evaluation report of Aquaculture Research Institute II - Ministry of Fisheries:
+ GEM and CTA – T are biological products containing useful microorganisms, can break up organic substances, waste things, excess food accumulated at pond floor, improve water quality.
+ GEM-P and CTA – 8T are biological products containing useful microorganisms, natural Vitamins, micro minerals, stimulate alga development, decompose organic substances, reduce bad odor, stabilize color of water, improve water quality.
+ CTA – T, CTA – 8T, GEM, GEM-P are biological products for water environmental treatment in aquaculture field, contain microorganisms and are used generally in aquaculture.

The board will evaluate testing results of some products such as GEM, CTA – T, GEM-P, CTA – 8T produced by Counting Center of Technology and Environment (CTA Center). After examining the report of testing results, the members of the Board give ideas and unify as following:
The contents of report includes: testing location, experimental arrangement, monitor water quality quotas.
GEM and CTA – T are biological products containing useful microorganisms, can break up organic substances, waste things, excess food accumulated at pond floor, improve water quality.
GEM-P and CTA – 8T are biological products containing useful microorganisms, natural Vitamins, micro minerals, stimulate alga development, decompose organic substances, reduce bad odor, stabilize color of water, improve water quality.
